Ten questions for TTC competitor #33 Matt Christian, Duncan, Oklahoma, '95 Chevy S-10

Q. Why do you want to compete in TTC?
A. "I have always wanted to compete in TTC since I was 'lil guy looking at the magazines. When I built this rig I actually built it with the goal of making the big show! I guess you could say it's a dream come true!"

Q. What TTC event are you most looking forward to?
A. "Coal chute! It's the newest event and looks like a blast."

Q. What TTC event are you not looking forward to?
A. "Mud pit! Lol, man I hate washing a rig after playing in the mud!"

Q. Are you making changes to your rig before TTC?
A. "I made all my major changes last year, so adding a snorkel is the only change I'll be making!"

Q. Will you and your spotter/co-driver be training for TTC?
A. "Yes! We have switched to a health diet of race fuel and synthetic motor oil, and we are supplementing that diet with a very strenuous workout consisting of wrenching, welding, grinding, and 12-ounce curls. Josh (my co-driver) is even honing in his winch pulling abilities."

Q. If you could go wheeling anywhere in the world, where would that be, and why?
A. "Not gonna lie, Green Acres in Clayton, Oklahoma, is pretty awesome! But I'd love to make a trip to Moab."

Q. What's playing on your iPod/CD player right now?
A. "If The Good Die Young, By Tracy Lawrence."

Q. What was the last movie you watched?
A. "Need for Speed."

Q. Do you have an aversion to poison oak, earthquakes, or a submerged engine?
A. "Poison oak won't look good on me but I'll bring plenty of calamine lotion. Earthquakes I don't have a issue with- heck as many as Oklahoma has had lately we are almost used to them. Submerged engines, well we will just try to avoid that one!"

Q. What's one thing people should know about you?
A. "I'm not afraid to use the skinny pedal! When in doubt, throttle out, right?"
