Ten questions for Top Truck Challenge 2014 competitor #37 Richie Tremblay, Strathmore, Alberta, Canada, 1995 Chevy S-10.

Q. Why do you want to compete in TTC?
A. "I saw the competition years ago (on VHS tape) and said to myself that is something I wanna do! After a couple of different rigs I bought a '84 Chevy 3/4-ton and said to myself that I was gonna build this one to compete in TTC!! Fifteen years later I have finally been given the opportunity."

Q. What TTC event are you most looking forward to?
A. "Most favorite that I am looking forward to is the Tank Trap, because it represents the local terrain and would be like venturing off into the woods at home."

Q. What TTC event are you not looking forward to?
A. "Tow Test (very hard on parts) and the Coal Chute (zero experience on rocks)."

Q. Are you making changes to your rig before TTC?
A. "Yep. New motor because I filled the old one up with mud at the end of last season (was trying to be a hero and wound up a zero), tires (cause I can't run my babies)."

Q. Will you and your spotter/co-driver be training for TTC?
A. "Well, my wife is making me drink these nasty shakes and eat like a rabbit. As for my spotter, he says he is not getting out (I got it stuck I can get it out- he is my father in-law)."

Q. If you could go wheeling anywhere in the world where would that be, and why?
A. "First choice is TTC and second is the King of the Hammers. They are two of the biggest competitions in the world and I love to compete."

Q. What's playing on your iPod/CD player right now?
A. "I'm a radio man- whatever is on."

Q. What was the last movie you watched?
A. "Frozen, for the hundredth time, 'cause I'm a daddy to a three-year-old girl."

Q. Do you have an aversion to poison oak, earthquakes, or a submerged engine?
A. "Not worried about the poison oak. I'm not getting out of my truck for the earthquakes, I have Kings all the way around. On the submerged engine topic, I just put in my 19th motor."

Q. What's one thing people should know about you?
A. "Rob Inglis and I have a bet for this years TTC. Whoever places lower has to get a tattoo of the others vehicle make. Rob would have to get the Chevy bow tie and I would have to get the Mopar emblem."
