Top Truck Challenge 2014 - Day Two CoveragePosted in Top Truck Challenge: 2014 on June 12, 2014 Comment (0)
Top Truck Challenge is the ultimate test of both man and machine working together to overcome the gnarliest of obstacles that Mother Nature has to offer. Metal carnage comes with the territory but victory comes to those who are willing to risk it all for the glory.
Day 2 of Top Truck Challenge 2014 kicked off bright and early with a completely different Obstacle Course compared to last year's competition. The big downhill start wasn't run this year and last year's challenging pools of mud were absent due to the current drought that California is facing. Despite all that, this year's course was not disappointing thanks to all the new deep holes and trenches that were dug into the lower and upper levels of the Obstacle Course which pushed the trucks to their limits before they made their way through what we're calling the Spider Trenches at the end of the Obstacle Course.
If that wasn't enough action for you, this year we have both the Hill Climb and the Coal Chute making a return. The Hill Climb is always a treacherous test of man and machine while the Coal Chute tests the competitors ability to think and act fast while trying to beat the 20 minute clock. Did we mention they're doing this while maneuvering through boulders, cement and steel tubes and even a steep waterfall climb (which is dry this year).
