Ten questions for Top Truck Challenge alternate #16 John Martinson, Yelm, Washington, '59 Fiat 1100.Q. Why do you want to compete in TTC?
A. "I wanted to be in TTC from the first time I saw a video, and as the Fiat evolved TTC was kept in the back of my mind." Q. What TTC event are you most looking forward to?
A. "The Tank Trap of course! The Tank Trap has the least people that make it, so making it the most desirable run." Q. What TTC event are you not looking forward to?
A. "Was the Tow Test. Now with turbo power I'd say the Tow Test. With minimal time on the stock Toyota auto with more power, who knows how tough it is." Q. Are you making changes to your rig before to TTC?
A. "No changes. Just finishing all the little stuff from the fresh Fiat build. Retired the og Fiat and revamped on the new to what you see!" Q. Will you and your spotter/co-driver be training for TTC?
A. "Me and my brother are going out and gonna try to bury it deep this weekend!" Q. If you could go wheeling anywhere in the world, where would that be?
A. "After this trip, I'd say Moab. Will do that next year!" Q. What's playing on your iPod/CD player right now?
A. "My playlist is bound to play the most random stuff, from old country to new old rock to new old hip hop to new disco." Q. What was the last movie you watched?
A. "Machete Kills." Q. Do you have an aversion to poison oak, earthquakes, or a submerged engine?
A. "Bees. I hate bees. Will eat a spider, but hate damn bees. Except honeybees, they're cool." Q. What's one thing people should know about you?
A. "I guess I'm a hardworking do-it-yourselfer that loves a challenge. Love to steelhead and salmon fish. Love my wife, kids, and family, for letting me work in the shop late and be me. Fiat power!!!!"
