Ten questions for Top Truck Challenge 2015 competitor Ryan Agan from Hollister, California, driving a ’83 Chevy K10.

Q. Why do you want to compete in TTC?
A. “I have been a fan ever since I was a little kid watching TTC videos my dad bought on VHS. I have always seen it as a dream to compete so I’m just chasing that dream!”

Q. What TTC event are you most looking forward to?
A. “The Tank Trap! It has always been the biggest and baddest event in TTC!”

Q. What TTC event are you not looking forward to?
A. “Frame Twister. It’s pretty easy to do some damage in that event!”

Q. Are you making changes to your rig before TTC?
A. “The truck has undergone a lot of changes. After being an alternate last year, I have been doing upgrades non-stop with the hopes of making it into TTC. Basically, everything on the truck has been replaced or modified in some way except for the truck bed and transfer cases. As far as upgrades I’m doing because I have been selected as a competitor, they include new double beadlocks from Stazworks; new tires; a Jana 76 kit in my front axle from Jantz Engineering, which allows for Dana 70 gears and locker to fit inside my Dana 60 housing; new gears from Revolution Gear and Axle; upgraded driveshafts from South Bay Driveline; and custom tuning on my new engine from Tilden Motorsports.”

Q. Will you and your spotter/co-driver be training for TTC?
A. “Heck ya! Hardcore training with a strict diet…not! We will probably spend more time talking things over for each event.”

Q. If you could go wheeling anywhere in the world, where would that be?
A. “Canada! Them boys look like they have some fun up there, eh!”

Q. What's playing on your iPod/CD player right now?
A. “Couldn’t tell ya! I lost them both!”

Q. What was the last movie you watched?
A. “The Interview.”

Q. Do you have an aversion to poison oak, earthquakes, or submerged engine?
A. “Poison oak is the worst! Earthquakes are fun! Submerged engine in this California drought? Be lucky if that happened!”

Q. What's one thing people should know about you?
A. “I will do what it takes to help out my fellow competitors.”
