With an estimated 400 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque, the 6.0L V-8 (from an ’04 ¾-ton Chevy truck) is a great match to the buggies approximate 6,000 pound overall weight. The 6.0L engine is fuel injected and sports LS2 heads, a Texas Speed & Performance camshaft, ARP rod bolts, and Summit Racing headers. Power is sent to a TH350 transmission that has been modified with a B&M shift kit and clutches. The trans is shifted via an Art Carr shifter and cooled by a Hayden cooler.
