Ultimate Adventure 2013 - Day 1 With Video CoveragePosted in Ultimate Adventure: 2013 on October 28, 2013 Comment (0)
Join Editor-in-Chief Rick Péwé as he leads a select group of readers, seasoned old cronies and sponsors on a 4x4 trip of a lifetime- the 4-Wheel & Off-Road Ultimate Adventure. With a motto of “No Whining,” 25 custom 4x4s traversed four states on a 1,500 mile on and off road trip. The 13th running of the Ultimate Adventure traveled the South from Alabama through Georgia, Florida, and ending in South Carolina.
The first day saw the group check in and learn the few rules of the trip, and then begin a trek that would have them living out of their vehicles for the next week. Appropriate for the start of an Ultimate Adventure, the first destination sees the group hitting Morris Mountain Off-Road Vehicle Park where they attempt the first obstacle, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." Morris Mountain ORVP makes sure the group is well seasoned in 4x4 carnage before they travel to the next destination.
In the upcoming series of videos, the group conquers trails and obstacles as a team, while traversing road miles and tough trails that put their vehicles and skills to the test- and sets the tone for a trip worthy of the title Ultimate Adventure.

Our first day of Ultimate Adventure led us to Morris Mountain ORV park in Heflin, Alabama. The park boasts dozens of trails that would challenge even our most experienced drivers and their vehicles. With large boulder filled trails and big rock-ledge climbs, Morris Mountain proved to push the limits of the rigs, some to the breaking point.
