The twisty gullies and washes of Flat Nasty Off-Road Park provided the group with some much-wanted traction after all the rain and mud. Instead of bashing up and over slick, wet rocks, the last wheeling day of UA 2014 made for some good ol’ rockcrawling. Flex and locked axles helped the rigs scale the trails with confidence. VJ Perrin and Travis Bennett made even the big rocks look small in Perrin’s ’79 CUCV until a bent rear driveshaft took the truck out of commission. Luckily Perrin carries a spare and they were quickly back on the trail.
