Ultimate Adventure 2016 Day 4 VideoPosted in Ultimate Adventure: 2016 on December 19, 2016
Part 4 of the 2016 Ultimate Adventure highlights one of our favorite aspects of fourwheeling. No, it isn’t climbing huge boulders, or squeezing between trees. Well, those are some of our favorite aspects as well (and they play a big role in this video) but we are referring to camping on the trail. The Rubicon Trail may not be the most challenging obstacles in the country, but the natural beauty and rugged terrain makes for a combination that is tough to beat. After running the western half of the trail, the group camped at Buck Island Lake for some fun around the campfire.
One of the rules of Ultimate Adventure is no trailers, but that wasn’t an issue on Day 4. We started without ever touching pavement! The situation got interesting right off the bat too, with a broken brake line on one of the rigs. That was before we even descended the Big Sluice to Rubicon Springs and climbed back out Cadillac Hill to Lake Tahoe. The Rubicon Trail was kinder to some though than others, and one member of the group had to throw in the towel.
