Offroad Design: Official Transfer Case of Ultimate Adventure 2017 – #UA2017Posted in Ultimate Adventure: 2017 on July 13, 2017
Wheeling a fullsize truck isn’t always easy, but we’ve had plenty of folks doing just that on Ultimate Adventure, including this year. For them, Offroad Design is there to provide stout, heavy-duty parts, which is why the company is returning as the official transfer case of Ultimate Adventure 2017.
Its impressive catalog of parts includes applications for GM, Dodge, and Ford trucks and custom rigs, including several different transfer case, underdrive, dual gearbox, and triple- or twin-stick kits. But for all of its products, what really made the company a shining star in the off-road world is its Doubler systems which mate an NP203 range box with an NP205 T-case. And adding to that impressive lineage is the company’s relatively new and very exciting Magnum Box planetary underdrive, which can be adapted to just about any common off-road application. The Magnum Box is a super-beefy range box which mates to an NP205 via a larger-diameter input shaft that allows the NP205 to handle the increased torque multiplication of the range box with virtual impunity.
Part of Offroad Design’s success stems from its employees and its passion for off-roading. The company’s stable includes several square-body Chevy trucks and SUVs, plus the UA-veteran 1999 GMC Sierra 2500 from our 2011 event. Clearly, these guys know what they’re doing when it comes to building durable parts that can handle heavy axles and engines with big torque.
