Hinged both at top and bottom, the two-way tailgate offers the best of both worlds. When hauling brush, large stumps, engine blocks, and so on, which would get stuck under the tailgate if using the dump-truck-style upper hinges, the 'gate can also be opened as on a pickup by releasing two spring-loaded locks on top. To perfect this setup, we intend to make a chain-type restraint for the lower part to allow spreading sand and gravel with precision.
