Underneath, the truck has a new frame with high-strength steel and hydro-formed rails. The transfer case is built by Magna and the axles by AAM. There are three rear axle options: an 8.6-inch ring gear with the V-6, a 9.5-inch ring gear with the V8s, and a special 9.76 for a max towing package. All versions are available with an Eaton automatic locking differential.
