The Range Rover lineup has a new Terrain Response 2 System, which combines the suspension control, engine control, transmission control, antilock braking, power steering, and transfer case with the dash-mounted Terrain Response switch pack and effectively sets up the Rover for optimal performance based on the terrain selected. This means it may allow additional wheel speed for dune or mud running, or, say, a less aggressive start for Grass Gravel Snow to reduce wheelspin. There is also an automatic setting where the vehicle monitors a variety of systems (driver input, onboard gyro meters, external air temperature) and automatically chooses the best terrain setting.
