GAS TAX HOLIDAY: YEA OR NAY?
Senator John McCain has proposed, and Sen. Hillary Clinton has endorsed, a federal "gas tax holiday" this summer: An 18-cent-per-gallon reduction in the federal gasoline tax to run from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Which best describes your reaction to this?
* It's a great idea! I can use all the relief I can get at the pump this summer
* Fine, but only if the windfall profits tax is raised to compensate for the shortfall in federal highway funds
* It won't make any difference---the oil companies will charge whatever the market will bear
* No. It's a classic case of politicians pretending to solve a problem when they aren't really doing anything
* Who cares? I had to sell my Jeep because I couldn't afford to wheel it anymore
