Dear 4-Wheel & Off-Road,
When we came upon my favorite mudhole, I urged my buddy in his '73 Commando to go first. He plowed through with no problem. Then I drove in slowly and began sliding sideways, so I let off the gas. My '84 CJ-7 slid to the edge of the hole and tipped over. A stock '83 CJ-7 pulled me back up and towed me home.

Dear 4-Wheel & Off-Road,
My friend and I were the first to four-wheel down this old logging road that had been closed for seven years. Little did we know that at the end of the mud bog was a deep hole that would bury the front end of my '88 Toyota 4Runner. After attempting to get it out for three days, we called a 4x4 wrecker to pull it out.

Dear 4-Wheel & Off-Road,
On our annual Labor Day trip, I won worst stuck for the weekend. It took three 8,000-pound winches to get me driving again.
