Kids & Jeeps

Got an old dusty memento of Jeep culture from the past, a whoops moment, embarrassing situations your buddy got into, or a relative in uniform with their trusty gas-horse? Scan ’em and send ’em to Sideways, christian.hazel@jpmagazine.com, and we’ll be proud to share ’em.

Can It
I was sent these photos because they knew I was into Jeeps. They are labeled CJ-2, but could be a 2A or 3A.

Scout Scrambler
Omix had the privilege of helping a local Boy Scout build a CJ-8 Scrambler to compete in the Pine Wood Derby challenge. Though the Jeep did not win, it placed well (Third), but the results of the build are rather amazing. And the young Jeep fan walked away with a neat piece that he will be able to show off for years to come.

Taller Than Tires
This is Emmerson and his Jeep. The ’90 XJ is a monster with lockers front and back, a 4.0L with a cam, and a 6-inch junkyard lift that works great to clear the 35s.
