Jeep Overland Build: Meet the Participants of the 2020 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure

Christopher Perron’s 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon Edition.

Overlanders: Christopher Perron

Vehicle: 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon

About: "I overland to escape the egos and hate. Overlanding has proven that the world is much larger when observed in person rather than through a lens or a screen." The Jeep has a bunch of mods that make it even more capable for getting away from it all, including a 4-inch Old Man Emu lift and shocks, a JKS Manufacturing adjustable trackbar and geometry upgrade, an exhaust extension kit, a Hellwig swaybar, a Genesis Offroad dual-battery kit and monitoring system, a Warn Zeon winch, Rubicon Express driveshafts, aluminum skidplates, 4.88s from Yukon Gear & Axle, a Dynatrac ProGrip braking system, 37-inch BFGoodrich tires, and various lighting from Baja Designs, ARB, Vision X, and Rigid Industries. AEV was also the source for the tire carrier, snorkel, fuel caddy, beadlock, ProCal module, and Borah wheels. A Pioneer Platform from Rhino Rack, an Alu-Cab awning, a James Baroud Explorer rooftop tent, an ARB fridge/freezer, Goose Gear drawer modules, and a Partner Steel propane stove are some of the must-haves.

The 2020 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure takes place November 16-20, 2020, and will begin in Wickenburg, Arizona, then conclude in Mayer, Arizona. The event will include highway and backcountry driving by day led by a professional off-road guide, followed by camping at night. The expedition will feature 20 overlanding-equipped rigs, handpicked from dozens of applicants.
