Power Wagon Overland Build: Meet the Participants of the 2020 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure
Harrison Phizacklea’s 2016 Ram 2500 Power Wagon.
Overlanders: Harrison Phizacklea and Janice Phizacklea
Vehicle: 2016 Ram 2500 Power Wagon
About: "I overland because of my overwhelming desire to be outside and my love for taking the road less traveled. I want to provide my family with the opportunity to be outside as much as possible and to see and do things that many people do not have the opportunity to get to see and do. I have been off-roading and camping since I was old enough to drive (20 years); overlanding was in my blood before overlanding was cool." The Power Wagon has a 3-inch AEV DualSport lift and front bumper, a Warn 16.5ti winch, a Cattleman rear bumper with flush KC Lights auxiliaries, 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grapplers wrapped around Raceline wheels, and AMP Research PowerSteps. In the battery department, there's an Odyssey AGM and secondary AGM house battery. The UnderCover RidgeLander tonneau has a Smittybilt Overlander XL rooftop tent, but options exist: A.R.E. HD Series truck cap insulated to sleep inside of the truck bed under the topper, or put a rooftop tent on top of the truck cap. A 12-volt fridge can also be found on trips.
The 2020 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure takes place November 16-20, 2020, and will begin in Wickenburg, Arizona, then conclude in Mayer, Arizona. The event will include highway and backcountry driving by day led by a professional off-road guide, followed by camping at night. The expedition will feature 20 overlanding-equipped rigs, handpicked from dozens of applicants.
