The Time Has Come for You to Select 9 Diesel Power Challenge 2020 Competitors

Review the data and vote wisely to determine who will be invited to Diesel Power Challenge in Denver

Attention, diesel fans! It's time for to you vote for the Ram, Ford, and GM trucks that you think should be invited to square off against Richard Coker for the 2020 Diesel Power Challenge title.

Your job is to look closely at the photos and information that each candidate provided (presented unedited) on the 28 finalist pickups. As you study the photos and details on each truck, you'll see that the group is well rounded, with a later-model truck (2017 Ford) in the mix, as well as dualies, manual transmissions, and other unique setups.

By following the link below (for the first time in Diesel Power Challenge history), you are now able to vote for the 9 trucks and drivers that you feel should compete. DPC 2020 goes down May 31 through June 4, 2020, on the west side of Denver, Colorado.

For those people who are new to us, Diesel Power Challenge is our annual performance, endurance, and strategy contest for diesel-powered pickups, their drivers, and crews. This year, your selected field of 9 (three Ram, three Ford, and three GM) participants will compete in 6 competitive events that include: dyno testing (for combined power and torque), evaluating a vehicle's drivability and fuel consumption, jockeying a loaded trailer (approximately 11,500 pounds) through a cone course, towing that same trailer over an eighth-mile distance to achieve the quickest elapsed time, heads-up quarter-mile drag racing, and sled pulling.

For 2020, the Dodge/Cummins contingent (*Note: Engine-swapped entries are classified by truck brand, not engine type) submitted the most entries with 14, while Ford/Power Stroke owners entered 6 pickup trucks and one SUV for your review and hopeful votes. GM/Duramax-powered rigs also total seven, with one of them once again being an atypical (for DPC competition) lifted rig with impressive performance cred.

Before you vote, it is very important that you understand this fact about the truck data that is published in this feature. While language in the official Diesel Power Challenge 2020 Entry Form expresses our preference for critical details about trucks that are being considered for your votes (such information as full brand or company names, part names and numbers, sizes, and such accordingly) is quite clear, unfortunately, details that you may want to know might not be included in the entry information. Blame that on whomever completed the form, as we are presenting the information (in most instances) exactly as it was submitted.

What you see is what we received. The information about each entry is as fleshed out as we could make it during the editing process (we acknowledge there are some holes). However, email addresses for each entrant are provided, and in this age of social media, we strongly suggest that you reach out to entrants through email or via the various popular channels (almost all of them are on Facebook or Instagram) and ask specific questions about their rigs. As it is with any election, being well informed is essential for making a good decision. And, if you are entered, it's in your best interest to welcome contacts from voters, and respond to their questions in a timely and thorough manner.

We think every rig in this group has what it takes to shine at Diesel Power Challenge 2020. Of course, the final decision on who the players are is up to you. With the Survey Monkey voting system we are using, "one" is the maximum number of ballots that can be submitted from an individual email address. And only ballots received through this format will be accepted. No printed ballot (screen shots, photos, faxes, separate emails, U.S. Mail) or other form of voting will be accepted. Do your research and make your vote count!

Make your selections and get those votes to us by 11:59 PM (PST) on Friday, April 10, 2020! This deadline will be strictly adhered to, as votes must be tallied quickly. Results will be announced LIVE on Friday May 1, 2020 (9:00 AM EST), on the Diesel Power Magazine Facebook page, from Ultimate Callout Challenge 2020.
