    Joe's JK Rubicon is Much More Than its Dozer Paint

    Joe Thompson's job at TeraFlex puts him in close proximity to some of the best parts in the Jeep world. Once he purchased his brand-new Dozer-colored 2012 JK Unlimited Rubicon, Joe availed himself of the TeraFlex parts bin and built a beautiful, competent Jeep.

    A Tera 44 frontend replaced the weak OE Rubicon 44 front. RCV CV axleshafts, TeraFlex ball joints, TeraFlex Big Brake Kit, and 5.38 gears join the OE Tru-Lok electric locker in the frontend. The rear 44 was replaced with a high-pinion Tera CRD 60 with 5.38 gears, an Eaton ELocker, and TeraFlex axleshafts.

    The suspension is from—you guessed it—TeraFlex. The LCG long arms work with Elka reservoir shocks, a TeraFlex Dual Rate S/T front sway bar, and a Trail S/T rear sway bar to allow Dozercon to handle just about anything the trail or pavement can dish out. TrailMods removable fender flares clear 37-inch Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar tires mounted on Raceline Monster beadlock wheels.

    Dozercon's OE 3.6 V-6 has adequate power, but Joe installed an Airaid cold-air intake and Hypertech Interceptor power tuner. You can never have too much power. The front TeraFlex bumper holds a Quadratec Q11000 winch. The rear of Dozercon is graced with a TeraFlex bumper and a TeraFlex HD adjustable spare-tire mounting kit.

    Joe's not afraid to thrash his JK Unlimited. With the parts installed, Dozercon can take it and continue to perform. The Dozer paint is flashy, but this Jeep is much more than its paint.
