2017 Land Rover Discovery Completely Redesigned: The Age of Digital Disco Has Arrived
It’s not every day an auto manufacturer wipes the slate clean on what’s proven to be a very popular and beloved design. But at the 2017 Paris Auto Show, Land Rover has done just that very thing. Gone is the boxy, angular shape traditionally associated with Land Rover Discovery since it was first made public in 1987 and sold in 1989. In its place is a swoopy new body delivering undeniable Range Rover styling while still giving a nod to some of the classic Discovery DNA. There’s new interior features that seven passengers can enjoy, smart hidden storage solutions in every nook and cranny, two powerful engine options: a 340hp/332 lb-ft supercharged gas 3.0L V-6 or 245hp/443 lb-ft 3.0L V-6 turbodiesel, a tow rating of 8,201, and of course, all the off-road capability you’d expect from something wearing a Land Rover badge.
