2020 Ford Super Duty Builds: 5 Customized for SEMA 2019
Ford to Display Insane Super Duty Builds in Factory Booth
We know the impressive numbers produced by the 2020 Ford Super Duty F-Series pickup and have even had gasoline and Power Stroke diesel versions on Truck Trend's recent Pickup Truck of the Year test. However, it's too early to find one in your neighbor's driveway or at a dealership. Those wishing to get up close and personal with Ford's new F-250, F-350, and F-450 lineup will just have to wait. Or go to SEMA. You better believe that, along with dozens of other custom Ford vehicles, Ford fully intends on showing off not just factory examples of its new Super Duty, but custom renditions crafted by some of the automotive industry's finest builders. Ford recently disclosed renderings of five custom 2020 Ford Super Duty trucks that we can expect to be showcased in its massive Central Hall display.
"Super Duty customers love to personalize their trucks, whether modified for the street, off-road, towing and hauling or the ultimate in recreational use," said Eric Cin, global director, Ford Vehicle Personalization and Accessories. "For 2020 Super Duty customers, these SEMA trucks feature new levels of incredible customization, capability and performance."
"Baja Forged," described as "the Swiss army knife for the modern adventurer," is LGE-CTS Motorsports' interpretation of the ideal mobile command center, campsite, and workshop. Having as its foundation a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab XLT, this exploration-ready Super Duty is visually characterized by a Pronghorn modular utility flatbed, an LGE-CTS rear custom canopy, a Tepui rooftop tent, a roof rack with Rigid LED lighting, custom LGE-CTS front fenders and bumper, a Warn Industries winch, and an ARB USA 6.5-foot awning with LED lights. Off-road conditions are handled by an Icon 4.5-inch Stage 7 suspension lift kit, 18-inch Method Race 304 NV HD bronze wheels, and 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires. Some additional creature comforts make adventuring comfortable, convenient, and safe.
Ford Accessories got its hands on a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab Tremor with a Black Appearance Package, and we must say, we like the way Ford thinks. The Tremor is an off-road package with features like a front 2-inch lift, larger shocks, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, an electronic locking rear and a Dana limited-slip front differential, skid plates, and high-clearance side steps, resulting in increased ground clearance, stellar water fording depth, and impressive approach/departure angles. This Tremor is clad in Ford Performance Parts and Ford Accessories: Warn Winch, chase rack, rock light, Rigid 50-inch LED light bar, Raptor-style side steps, bed ramps, earthquake graphics, and a Toughbed spray-in bedliner.
After building one of our favorite Super Duty trucks from last year's SEMA show, DeBerti Design is at it again. The truck is a 2020 Ford F-450 Super Duty Platinum Crew Cab, and in true DeBerti fashion, we suspect the bed arrangement is going to knock the socks off of onlookers. We're not even sure what secrets the bed holds; we're looking forward to a demo of how it all unfolds. Other notables include a Kelderman air ride suspension setup, 22-inch American Force wheels, 37-inch Toyo tires, and an assortment of Rigid LED lights.
This isn't BDS Suspension's first rodeo. The suspension company has wow'd us yet again with its "Go Beyond" custom 6.7L Power Stroke diesel 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab XLT adventure machine lathered in custom agate black and chroma elite copper paint. The BDS Suspension 4-inch radius arm lift with Fox 2.5 factory race Dual Speed Compression coilovers and shocks hides behind massive 40-inch Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ P3 tires on 20-inch Method Race wheels. We all know stuffing 40s under a truck doesn't just happen by accident—an Addictive Desert Designs stealth fighter front bumper aids the clearance while supporting a Warn Industries Zeon 12S winch and Rigid LED lights. A Knapheide aluminum service box replaces the factory bed and provides storage for everything necessary (tent, fridge, grill, air compressor, power inverter, table, chairs) to survive and thrive while adventuring off-the-grid.
CGS Performance Products perfected a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab Tremor with a Black Appearance Package by adding 20-inch Grid wheels, 37-inch General tires, a Retrax PowerTraxPro MX bed cover, a Ford Accessories Sportliner carpet kit by Bed Rug, and a Rigid Adapt LED lightbar. It's the custom red Sikkens paint by Akzo Nobel that'll make the competition tremble before this Tremor. However, would you really dare hit a dirt trail in this beauty?
