What We've Heard About the 2021 Ford F-150:
For months, we've been speculating about the refreshed version of the current-generation Ford F-150, whose accolades include winning Truck Trend's 2015 Pickup Truck of the Year and Four Wheeler's 2017 Pickup Truck of the Year competitions. We've gathered clues from spy shots that divulged both interior details and overall exterior appearances. We've gleaned tidbits here and there about a plug-in-hybrid powertrain spied testing in prototype F-150s on public roads. A fully electric variant is on the horizon, too, and we've seen an EV prototype tow 1.25 million pounds as well as a revealing patent. We've heard reports of front passenger seats that will lay flat for sleeping. Although we have our doubts about the survival of the Ford Raptor SuperCab, we certainly don't have doubts about the future of Ford's $40-plus-billion F-Series business.
