ADD is Ready to Beef Up The 2017 Ford Raptor With Bumpers and Chase Racks
New Venom, HoneyBadger, and Stealth gear introduced
Addictive Desert Designs (ADD), known for making functional and burly accessories for desert eating machines, just introduced their new lineup of bumpers, side steps, and chase racks for the upcoming 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. For those looking to upgrade their new Raptor, ADD will offer three different series of bumpers, side steps, and chase racks to choose from: the Venom, HoneyBadger, and Stealth series.
Designed with airflow in mind, each front bumper will have vented skidplates with a scoop to direct airflow into the intercooler to prevent performance loss and overheating. A winch option will also be available on each bumper but will require relocation of the intercooler, and a kit to do that is included. Each bumper is built to hold nearly every different lighting option. The Stealth R and HoneyBadger bumpers feature 10-tab universal light mounting system so you can mount whatever lights you want. The Venom R bumper has a radius rolled main tube which will support a 40-inch radius lightbar on top and features an 8-tab universal mounting system that will hold a 30-inch radius bar in the center section.
Styling wise the HoneyBadger keeps the same bold and aggressive styling of previous-generation HoneyBadger bumpers with a clean and smooth design. The Stealth R bumper has a 2-inch radius rolled bend that follows the design of the trucks front-end perfectly, giving the bumper a tight fit to the front of the Raptor. With a top hoop and dimple died side panels the Stealth R gives the Raptor a simple, yet bold, appearance. With a similar design as the Stealth R, the Venom R has a radius rolled main bar with the top hoop removed to run larger lights or none without looking out of place.
Each front bumper has a matching rear bumper that was designed to work with the tucked up factory dual exhaust and tow hooks. Two rear facing square light cutout are provided as well as mounts for the factory backup sensors. The HoneyBadger bumper adds two clevis mounts that accept 3/4-inch D Rings and the plate styling can be upgraded with a honeycomb insert that can hold a 10-inch light behind it. With standard honeycomb inserts that include square light mounts, the Stealth rear bumper offers a sly rear appearance to the Raptor. If the classic ADD styling is what you’re after, the Venom rear bumper is perfect, with a tube structure and dimple died panels the Venom offers great style while staying classic.
If you plan on building a chase truck with the 2017 Ford Raptor, the new ADD chase rack is right up your alley. With clean lines and honeycomb inserts to match the factory Raptor styling cues, an electronically actuated 50-icnh LED lightbar mount, and rear racing square light mounts, this chase rack will having you lighting up that remote pit with ease.
