Overland Truck Build: 2010 Ford Raptor and Conqueror UEV-390 Off-Road Trailer
Jason Naparalla turns the backcountry into canyoneering basecamp with this well-appointed trailer.
Jason Naparalla joined us on the 2019 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure with his overland truck build: a 2010 Ford SVT Raptor and Conqueror UEV-390 off-road trailer. His usual exploits involve driving far into the bush over dilapidated roads and trails to reach a trailhead. From there, Jason and his crew make basecamp and proceed to travel on foot into the twisted slot canyons of the American West where light is scarce and rescue (should one need it) typically requires a helicopter. When they return from the canyons, everyone is thankful for the Conqueror UEV-390 trailer and the amenities it affords the weary canyoners. Read on for more on Jason's overland truck build and the Conqueror UEV-390 trailer that he tows into the hinterlands.
For a more in-depth look into Jason's overland truck build and the Conqueror UEV-390 trailer, check out the feature story in Four Wheeler magazine available where magazines are sold on November 20, 2020.
Before the Raptor, Jason piloted a Honda Ridgeline (as far as he could) into the backcountry.
Before the Conqueror UEV-390, Jason had another off-road trailer that was totaled in a traffic accident, prompting the search for the one seen here.
Why We Dig This Overland Truck Build
Getting out into the wild doesn't require a modification list the size of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Jason's 2010 Ford Raptor is proof. We were also impressed with the amenities packed into the Conqueror UEV-390 off-road trailer and how willing it was to follow the truck through twisted obstacles.
