New Styling for 2021 GMC Canyon AT4

GMC's 2021 Canyon AT4 is designed for the off-road enthusiast as well as the action sports and overlanding communities with updated trim and functional features. Styling details include darker chrome finishes, a larger grille, and the industry standard—big red towhooks. Stepping inside the new Canyon AT4, you'll be greeted by Kalahari stitching, premium detailing, and AT4 headrest embroidery matching that of other AT4-badged GMC vehicles.

Making Power

The new GMC Canyon AT4 gets its 308 horses from the 3.6L V-6 or an optional 2.8L diesel, the latter cranking out 369 lb-ft of torque.

When?

Though we don't have word on pricing yet, expect to see the GMC Canyon AT4 later in 2020. Will this new offering from GMC be enough to entice customers whose options include the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Nissan Frontier, and Chevy Colorado? For the more extreme off-road users, the rear automatic locking differential (G80) might not offer the low-speed traction-adding confidence afforded by the Ranger's electronically locking rear diff, or the pair of selectable electronic lockers found on the Chevy Colorado. However, for those looking for a boost in off-road performance and styling, the 2021 Canyon AT4 might just hit the spot.

From GMC

"The new 2021 Canyon AT4 broadens the appeal to midsize truck customers who live an active lifestyle," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC. "Much like the Sierra AT4 has attracted new customers from outside GMC, the Canyon AT4 will attract outdoor enthusiasts looking for a premium midsize truck to GMC with the capability, technology and refinement they've come to expect."
