The King of the Hammers race, held on Friday of Hammers week, is lauded as the toughest one-day race on the planet, and is as much a testament to driver perseverance as vehicular fortitude.
Activity for King of the Hammers week is centered around an establishment dubbed "Hammertown USA." This is a city with named streets, tents, off-road vendors, a central fire pit, main stage, restrooms, race pits, food, and much more. Surrounding Hammertown is what we call the Suburbs, where race spectators and off-road enthusiasts make camp for sometimes over ten days leading up to and following the event.
