Jeep and FCA to Showcase Electrification and Technology at 2020 CES
Jeep and FCA are using the 2020 CES show in Las Vegas to showcase their newest technology and electrification efforts. CES (Consumer Electronic Show) is the premiere trade show to showcase these advances in technology.
The Jeep brand will showcase three plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Jeep says this is the first step in the plan to offer electrification of all of its lineup by 2022. The new electrified vehicles will carry Jeep 4xe badging. The three electrified Jeep vehicles will include the Wrangler 4xe, Compass 4xe, and Renegade 4xe. Jeep promises greater torque and immediate engine response on its electric vehicles. The brand has made a commitment to become the leader in green, eco-friendly technology.
CES attendees can experience a simulated 4x4 journey through VR goggles. The VR experience takes participants through the Hells Revenge trail in Moab, Utah. The participants will sit in a real Wrangler model that will move with hydraulic cylinders as they navigate the virtual trail as well as see the graphic visual scenery through VR goggles.
FCA will also have an Airflow Vision Concept in its CES booth. Airflow Vision is a sculptural design concept that envisions the next generation of transportation. The user experience features screens that can be personalized for individual needs and interests. The interior is accented by a light and calming color palette that provides users with a first-class travel experience.
