About: "We overland because it's a part of living a happy, healthy life! We have been exploring Colorado's backcountry together since college. Starting in September 2019, our daughter went off to college. So we stashed our belongings into storage and moved into the truck and camper full time."
They've made a lot of mods to the double cab, but highlights include off-road-ability via a Solo Motorsports long-travel suspension and 4x4 spindles with lower uniball conversion and steering upgrades, custom Alcan leaf springs, and 2 -inch King shocks paired with Toytec Boss rear shocks with remote reservoir. The shackle flip kit is from Archive Garage, and there's Nitro Gear 4.88 gearing and Harrop ELockers at both ends. Armor includes an Addicted Offroad front bumper, homemade rear bumper, and Skid Row Offroad skidplates from tip to T-case. There's also a Front Range Off-Road Fabrication Diamond rear axle, full float with disc brakes, RCV shafts, and built-to-match front track width, which is 3 inches wider per side. Rounding things out are 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2s and 17x9 KMC XD wheels, plus Vlair onboard air and IBS dual batteries. Out back, the '07 Four Wheel Campers Eagle has a Dometic fridge, propane stove and furnace, dual-battery setup, and roof-mounted solar panel.
The 2020 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure takes place November 16-20, 2020 and will begin in Wickenburg, Arizona, then conclude in Mayer, Arizona. The event will include highway and backcountry driving by day led by a professional off-road guide and camping at night. The expedition will feature 20 overlanding-equipped rigs, handpicked from dozens of applicants.
