The Latest Off-Road Goodies

Surrounded by ADD
Addictive Desert Designs would like you to know they’ve got your vehicle surrounded. Front-to-back, Addictive Desert Designs offers bumpers, side steps, and chase racks. Far from one-flavor-fits-all, ADD offers its truck hardware in different styles to match tastes and needs as unique as the off-roaders who drive them.

  • Front bumpers are stylish and protective, yet afford proper cooling. Addictive Desert Designs is based in sunny Mesa, Arizona, and the company understands engine cooling needs in the middle of summer’s heat.
  • An F-150 is shown here, but ADD offers products for multiple makes, including Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Jeep, Nissan, and Toyota.

ComeUp Carry On
ComeUp USA has released its new DV-6 carry-on winch. An ergonomic handle is designed to let the winch be carried in one hand. A quick-connect receiver kit allows it to be installed into a 2-inch hitch receiver.

  • With a 6,000-pound capacity, this lightweight winch can self-recover many compact trail rigs. Portable mounting means you can store it out of sight when not in use.
  • Includes synthetic rope, a submersible sealed contactor, and a waterproof remote control.

Competition 9-Inch Air Locker
ARB’s Air Locker is a favorite among a wide cross section of off-roaders and has been gaining ground among Ultra 4 competitors. The Ford 9-Inch is also a popular Ultra 4 axle, so it makes sense ARB now offers a competition-style 9-Inch Air Locker. What’s the difference between the competition-style 9-Inch Air Locker and the standard 9-Inch Air Locker? A 290-percent increase in gear case strength, for one.

  • • Every aspect of the Air Locker has been upgraded to be competition-tough. In addition to radically increased case strength, the ring gear bolts have a positive locking mechanism, and the clutch gears now have deeper engagement.
  • • Other features include a forged gear set, preloaded internal gears, and improved oiling. Manufactured and assembled in Australia. Five-year limited warranty.

Snap-On Classics
Snap-On tools are expensive. They’re also one of the top go-to tool companies for professional mechanics and discriminating hobbyists. They’re worth the price of admission. Snap-On’s Flank Drive Plus combination wrenches look like many high-quality combination wrenches on the market, but some key differences set them apart.

  • The open end of the wrench features a patented series of flutes or notches that allow the wrench to grip the fastener away from its corners, directing the torque onto the flats of the fastener.
  • The box end is rotated 7.5 degrees away from the handle. In tight situations, this allows you to flip the wrench over and get a new grip.
