Falken Is the Official Tire of Ultimate Adventure 2018

We’d Rather Be Falken Than Walken

A few years ago you might not have even heard of Falken Tire, but the company has quickly grown to become a household name. While some tire manufacturers stick to the mundane world of commuter cars and minivans, Falken builds tires that cater to enthusiasts like us. From drift cars to rockcrawling, Falken makes tires built to dominate, so we knew that the company wouldn’t shy away from our weeklong torture test we call the Ultimate Adventure. Falken sent King of the Hammers veteran and Savvy Offroad head honcho, Gerald Lee, out to represent the company this year. Lee and friend John Butler borrowed a Jeep borrowed from Jeremy Purick in New York and proceeded to wheel the snot out of it all week, but the Jeep never missed a beat.

Participants on our Petersen’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road Ultimate Adventure overwhelming chose Falken’s most aggressive tire, the Wildpeak M/T. The tread pattern on the Falkens is a perfect match for the UA: aggressive enough to provide traction on hardcore trails while remaining quiet and smooth enough to cover hundreds of road miles without wearing out (or wearing us out). And Falken’s proprietary three-ply Duraspec sidewall minimized concerns over punctures; we had zero Falken tire failures on UA 2018. We can’t exactly say the same for some of the other tire brands on the event. Available in sizes ranging from 30 inches tall up to 38, there is a Wildpeak M/T for everyone.
