Quigley Custom Driveshafts for the Ultimate Adventure Long Range Jeep #UA2020

Part 20: Driveshafts from the 4x4 van folks.

Quigley is a name you know if you've followed Ultimate Adventure for any length of time. These guys generally volunteer to come on the trip and shuttle the video crew around. The van is almost always driven by Tiger LeBrun, and close by is his beautiful wife, Renee. This pair are always up for whatever the adventure tosses at them, quite literally serving as a lifeline for the all-important video crew and helping everyone on the adventure whenever help is needed. They are one of the groups of people who have made this event more than an automotive event and more like a yearly family reunion. We don't know what we would do without Quigley, the company's extremely capable and comfortable van, and more.

Just to sweeten the pot that much more, Quigley, as a company, is no one-trick pony. They do amazing 4x4 conversions on all sorts of vans, and that we all know, but since they build their own parts for many of these vans, they also make lots of custom parts. For example, Quigley Motor Company also makes custom driveshafts. So when it came time to order 1350 jointed driveshafts, front and rear, for the 2020 Ultimate Adventure Long Range Jeep, the call was easy. We added a set of 32-spline Offroad Design drive flanges to our NP205 prepped by Offroad Design transfer case and measured for front and rear driveshafts. Both shafts have a 1350-sized double cardan joint at the T-case and a 1350 joint at the axle side. Add in a pair of strap kits, and the shafts bolt easily to our Ultimate Dana 60s. As for the details on our Quigley custom driveshafts, the rear shaft is made from 2 -inch .095 wall tube, the same the company uses on heavy Super Duty diesels. The front is built with 2-inch .120 wall tube for those tighter spaces running forward from the T-case.
